Front Lip Installation Question.

Hi guys ,

I'm in the process of buying a front lip and i've got a question regarding the installation.

Is it needed to remove this part highlighted below when installing a front lip ? If we do remove that , wouldn't this leave a gap between the front lip and the underbody panel ?

Something like this gap

This is the part

Thanks

Depends on your lip. The design on mine allowed mine to fit over it. Some you need to remove. It shouldn't be too hard. Just ask the vendor if you need to.

I agree with Bob Evolved, most lips will fit over that. If you're coming from a car with aero installed, theres a filler piece the dealer will sell you after you remove the aero front.
It really depends on the maker of the lip. Which one are you considering?

I'm looking at the Jun Front lip , i've talked to both LVSBB6 and Fishstix

Both replied with different solution as one removed the whole thing and one fitted the lip over the thing but at a very very tight fit.

It's a second hand piece and the guy who is selling it told me that he cut the top half of it to fit the Jun lip.

i'd just remove it if that's the case, save yourself the cutting.

If i do remove it , what about the gap in between the front lip and the underbody panel (as shown on the first picture)

Wouldn't the underbody panel be loose and all
