Aluminum is lighter than steel, steel may rust over time (depending on how it's made, my Nisei rusted a little on the inside where it wasn't painted). TI will be lighter. But - you have to ask yourself what are the heat soak properties of each? E.g. on the LICP, will it absorb more engine bay heat, heating up the air inside? Will the UICP radiate more or less heat depending on material?
Most of us don't care..some of us take this into consideration, even though in the long run for most of us, it doesn't really matter. lol
Whatever floats your boat mate

The other way to look at aluminum piping...
Is the under hood temperature hotter then the charge air in the intercooler pipe? The piping doesn't work just one way... This means if it's going to dissipate heat, it's going to pull heat from the engine bay into the upper pipe just as easy.
The ideal way would be Aluminum Hot Pipe to let heat out and Stainless Cold pipe to keep the cold air in and away from the hot engine bay temperature.
In the end the difference will not be much.

go for the steer.......all the way. The weight you r abt to save on that really doesnt make a difference until you wanna make it a tame racing car. It's the size that really matters, dont be fooled by what's written on the their online shopping website either. If it says 3 inch, does it mean the whole thing from start to end, or just the middle part? IMO, talk to some people who have exprience on turbo car tuning, and have them take a look at the stuff you wanna put your money on. In my car, I will have a customized piping system that would fit my modifactions perfectly(Since Im having that made in china with enough instructions to make the workers know what to do...doenst cost much)
