For those who plan to keep their stock intake suction pipe...

Hello Evom,
We just had a customer that came in with a stock cracked suction pipe. Now it is a fairly new 2009 X GSR. Our customer wants the car pretty much stock so we tried to get him a stock suction pipe from Mitsubishi and there is a 10 week wait for this part. Since the the customer did not want to wait he ended buying the Agency Power short ram intake and suction pipe kit.

We attribute the crack in the pipe from the extreme weather conditions here.

Thanks for reading,
Phil

Why didn't he just go have the dealer warranty the part?

I experienced -18 F once in the northern part of the state. I think it died from heat though.

Please correct me if I am wrong, But to my knowledge I didnt think mitsubishi made a model year 2009 evo x, I thought they skipped the 2009 year for evo's, As was the case with 2007 before the evo 10 came out

Might be an '08 the guy bought in '09. But yeah, you're right, no true '09 X were sold in the US.

If it cracked, it's most likely from cold.

There were only a handful of '09s in the U.S, but they were registered Mitsubishi NA cars as far as I know(and they could've well sold them to the public after their use). Mitsubishi only skipped the U.S with '09 model year. Everyone else including Canada(I believe) got them.

By the way, I find it extremely hard to believe the OP. I smell advertisement. Sorry, just my opinion I guess.
