Building First Track Evo X in China, Help needed!

First thing first, Evo X is a lighter car compare to Evo 9 when you have done all the weight saving work possible. Guess, it would make a lot of Evo X drivers feel good...

Since, the SST version is the only verison in China mainland, which drives a brother crazy when converting it to a tame track weapon, later for doggears, stronger clutch set up,etc, blah blah blah. There is no GSR tranny in China for me to get either...

To all the people on the formu, PLEASE HELP. 5MT gearbox, shift linkage and pedal set, needed asap. I searched arround, but didnt see any decent salvage parts from GSR EVO X yet. If you have any info on both, salvage or new, Email: myue219@gmail.com

I've already signed for a national stage race in Feb, so if any of you can help

BTW, I will sell my sst gearbox dirt cheap, if anyone is interested.

Sounds like you are better off trying to import a GSR instead.

And EVO X is lighter? Really?

AMS has a whole thread on weight reduction and prepping a track car, you should search for it.

Also, get acquainted with AMS for your power mods.

Bahahaha!!! Gotta love stereotypes....

And you probably are better off just importing a GSR from somewhere.

its a bad idea to build a race car with forum help, seriously. You might ask one two question or so , but that should be more like an opinion to think about.
Im sure there is a racing shop there too. You have to work what you guys have there, and for that environment. Nothing is a same.
Look up some racing shops there and work with them if you want to build a race car. That is the only good way to do that.

Rob

ps: to build a race car which is reliable as it seems to me in your case , impossible.
Skipp the first race and build a car which will give you joy, instead head ache.
1 race is not a world.

Please feel free to email me on your build. I would be glad to help you with the SST platform. Its not as easy as it sounds to swap transmissions. There are quite a few other items that will need to be changed to make a SST into a GSR.

Import an Evo X? You mean it hasn't been reverse-engineered over there yet? Come on China, you're off your game.

OK, that's funny, in a sad sort of truthful way.
