That's pretty normal. I noticed leather differences btwn MY's on other vehicles that I've owned. It's both "design improvements" as well as changes in sourcing. The first suppliers kill off their herds, so folks who buy have to go 'round and find new sources for leather.

I'm glad someone got the freaking joke!
I need an outlet to mock my dad's late life "Hobby". Started with helping a step mom spin yarn for her knitting. Then got 5 sheep, er 6 sheep, er 10 sheep, make that 9, Good Doggy. Next thing I know, he's bought 125 acres, has 100 sheep, then a new place with 350 acres, add 100 more sheep and 200 cattle. "Sorry, son, I'd love to see the grandkids but I've got the animals to feed."
F the cows. Eat 'em, stitch 'em into steering wheels, seats and toilet paper. (just don't over cook them, they taste better if they're not cooked well-done)

Now now don't hold back, I lol'd
On topic though, I haven't had a chance to compare the 'leather' differences in person between the years but I'll try to do so at the next meet. Got no complaints with mine so far
