hood scoop removal

Whats up fellas, can ya help a brotha out and explain how to remove the aluminum piece that sits below the naca duct? After getting tuned and seeing the manifold get red hot I think I need more air than that tiny little restricting hole is letting in!! Hook me up!!

You take off the visible metal clips and black plastic clips with the hood up and it comes off. I took mine off and cut the hole bigger so more air would flow down into it. The shield actually directs flow to the turbo so I'm not sure I'd just take it off.

um the manifold will get red hot no matter what kinda air cooling you throw at it, especially since it's located in the back unlike the previous evos. no one quite figured out why the shield is cut like that, but you're welcome to cut the hole bigger. i would also recommend against removing it.

I understand the concept of that shield, I just needed to take it off to cut that hole a bit bigger. I can't figure out how the stupid metal retainers come off....DOUBT!

Squeeze the straight inside parts of the clip together if I remember correctly.
