Here is what I found:

NEWS - ARC INTERNATIONAL BANKRUPT
1st March 2011
Taggedarcnews

ARC International, the well-known premium Japanese manufacturer, is in bankruptcy. We were notified just a few hours ago, the company is no longer accepting orders and all outstanding orders are cancelled.

The future of the company is currently uncertain. We will keep the website updated as any changes develop but we do not expect any change to the situation in the immediate future.

We are truly saddened by the news and wish ARC the best in the future. Their range of premium quality parts made in Japan will be missed by us all.

Wow, this is both sad and funny at the same time, last year Trust (GReddy) filled for bankruptcy, but their US branch was ok, I was expecting this from ARC for a long time judging by how much they charge for their ****, I mean it's pretty, but not any more functional or efficient than other company's products. I feel like it got to the point where they were relying too much on their "brand image" and it eventually bit them in the ***.

LOL What a shocker!! Every time I have seen somebody with ARC under there hoods I literally laughed at them for spending the amount of money they did. Their parts did look "pretty" though.

ARC is a niche in my mind, the lower quantity higher price scale goes into affect. Me personally will be saddened if they in fact stop importing parts to the US. With that being said having a niche brand in the current market is extremely hard, buying premises isn't the same it was 4-5 years ago.
