CF wing

I was looking at selling my OEM SSS wing and buying a CF seibon wing. Does anyone have any input as to whether this would be a good choice? I heard CF fades with weather, and I don't want to buy it just to have it get all crapped up in a year or two...

It depends. If you take care of the cf wing you should be fine. To bad your not in Cali. I would trade you for mine.

Most carbon fiber parts do not have clear coat applied to it because it saves money. What they do is buff the epoxy resin till its nice and shiny. When this is exposed to contaminants in the environment it starts to fade and delaminate.

To fix this you need to spray high temperature clearcoat over those precious carbon fiber parts. Once sprayed with clearcoat it will never fade or delaminate.

hm i dont know what happened , i have basically the first batch , if not the first one from them they "sold" in 2008 late spring.
And still looks like brand new , besides the scratches from rocks
It comes with a rally LOL

this is a latest picture of it i dont know how much you can actually see, but i love that wing and it is unbeatable in price

Dont be scared to go cf..just play is safe and re-clearcoat it with a UV resistant marine clear coat from pretty much any boating supply store or online.. do this and it wont change colors or get that dreaded white/foggy look... goodluck

I guess the first step would be to see if I could sell it for the amount to pay for the CF wing. I don't want to be "that guy" with a wing no one likes though haha.

im still undecided wether i want the sss wing or to go wingless...i like the wingless look but then i have to get my trunk repainted which i don't want to do, so i was considering cf myself.. just out of curiosity what colors your evo?
