Gauge Mounting, new idea.... Maybe?

That is interesting. Would the curvature of the dash fit with the curvature of the gauge pod?
For my gauges I used the Rexpeed dual pillar pod. I'm really happy with the way it looks.
It doesn't affect the safety like myth would suggest. The pillar air-bags deploy out the side, and the pillar cover just opens up like a door.

I'm 6'1" with a short upper body, and I have troubles seeing over it. You sit much deeper in a X than a VIII / IX.
As to the OP, I have been thinking of something like that myself, but more of a carbon fiber mold to both sides and have a gauge in each one.
