AEM digital boost gauge not reading boost

I just installed a new digital AEM boost guage and its just reading --- which means it isnt reading boost. Cant figure out why.. everything is hooked up correctly.
Before i email aem i was wondering if anyone has this guage and experienced any problems like this?

are you just revving at idle or driving around? the car doesnt build boost at idle. you need to drive around for it to show boost

I have this gauge, and I am pretty sure that you either have a loose wire or a bad ground. Double check everything. I had this problem with mine and it was because of a wire I spliced got separated.

This gauge measures vacuum as well. So it should read -22/-20 at idle, and not ---.

Mine wasnt reading aswell after multiple checks to the wiring. Might be a bad sensor.. Give AEM a call.

dumb question about the gauge, but if you turn the car to ACC and let the gauge calibrate should it show 0? mine either shows -2 or -4 does this mean the gauge calibrating correctly?

The gauge is fine, I've had other gauges installed prior and they read the same.

I had the boost sensor go bad in mine, just tell them you checked with another gauge and the sensor is bad and they will send you a new one.
