Kahuna's AMS built/tuned 2.0 build
(Didnt see a build journal section, not sure where to put this. Mods move it if you need to.)
First off a little bit of history.
I got into the tuning scene back in highschool, and bought a 99 civic si just after graduation in 2001. I began to mod, tried to keep in nice. Had DC Sports CAI, Headers, and CBE. About a year after I got the car, I decided I was going to turbo it. I found a kit from a company called South Florida Performance. Did the install, got tuned, and put down about 310hp.
Shortly after the turbo install, I got in a pretty back wreck. Luckily, I was not injured at all, and the car was mainly cosmetic damage. To make a long story short, it was abotu 2am and me and some friends were doing about 130ish down the interstate and I basically just lost control. The back end went out, and I did 3 360's across 3 lanes, down a ditch, back up the ditch, and into a barbed wire fence.
I was uncredible lucky, and took this as a sign that I needed to chill out. I ended up fixing the car, selling it and buying a 2.slow jetta.
Drove that for several years, then bought a 2003 Outlander which I had up until March 2nd of last year, when I traded in for the EVVOOO.
I kept the evo completely stock for almost a year. Around november, I posted on the forum about the AMS 900x kit. Within several days, Dan from AMS contacted me. We wen't back and forth for a little over a month before I decided to pull the trigger in late Jan.
We decided to go with the stock block, with cams and the 750r kit.
Ultimately this changed into the stg1 block and the 900x kit running on 93 pump and ms109.
Feb 9th car is picked up bone stock.

During the delivery, the driver hit a snow drift outside of Chicago and the entire trailer bucked and crushed my roof. I decided to pay an extra 400 bucks and have a CF roof installed.

Glad to see you are enjoying the car! I'm also glad that we were able to get everything done so quickly considering the last minute changes.
Have fun and let me know if there is anything you need.
