Arrow HID Headlights

I don't have projectors on my evox gsr. I will be purchasing 6000k HID's for it. Is there anything I should be aware of? Has anyone encountered any problems? And if so, how did you fix it?

Anyone that can help with experience or info please do.

One problem will be all the flashing you will be experiencing as you spray light all over the place.

He means that other cars will assume that you are driving with your high beams on and start flashing theirs to alert you. So pick your poison.

I'd rather have the increased field of vision. My 6000K's are in the mail. I figure at least the other cars are aware of me, for safety's sake.

so you're saying that once I install the hid's they will be on, even when my lights are off? in other words, they wil be pretty much replacing my drl's?

No, he means because you are putting HIDs into a non HID housing you won't have the proper cutoff and the light will scatter and blind oncoming drivers. You can easily fix this by adjusting your headlights (search the how-to section on how to do this).

your headlight housings are not designed for hids yes it will work yes it will look good but the beam of light wont have a cutoff line it will basically flood the beam, only other solution is very expensive getting projectors, I would get the plug and play kit and aim my lights a little lower out of respect for other drivers.

IMHO I think it a waste of money with out the projector housing. It looks much cleaner I know they are lights but w/o the proper house it looks like garbage.

i was thinking about doing this as well and understand about the scattering, if i could either get projector headlights or retrofit projectors into headlights for under 1k i'd think about it. but stock sss lights are like 1200 for a pair and retro fitting costs bank

Throwing HIDs in halogen reflectors are like chicks with padded bras. They look okay from a far, but once you get up close, you know they are just wanna be's, and they can't afford to do it right!

As said above, they look like garbage, and are so tacky.

The light scatters, without the projectors it doesnt do its job correctly.
