Air filter problem

This is going to sound dumb but here I go! I am trying to place a K&N filter, I took out the original and now I can't not I can close the air box with either filter. Is there a trick?

There are metal clamps on the back and front. Make sure to put the air filter in and then cover the box, then secure using the metal clamps (they're long).

Everytime I clean my drop-in, I have to take the entire intake box out of the car. It's a pain I know. But there is two "clip" things on the bottom of the intake box those have to fit together, as well as the metal clips on top and the slides on the sides of the box. It makes it alot easier if you have the box out and look at it at different angles..

Just undo the clamp on the rubber tube and unplug the MAF.

Glad we could help. How did the k&n fit? My perrin was a little too thick or something and I kinda had to modify the box a little to make it fit..
