Evo X GSR - R&T June 2011

Anyone see what the 2011 Evo GSR does 0-60 in the new June 2011 R&T??

It was a comparo between the 370z and the Evo X GSR as a 2 door v 4 door comparo

0-60... 4.3 seconds! And onto a 1/4 mile time of 13.0s @ 106.2mph - .97g skidpad and 70.0mph through slalom,

compared to 370z touring:

0-60, 4.9s, 13.4 @ 106.8mph, .99g in skidpad and 72mph

Stunned by the straight line speed - was there a retune or something??

PS the Evo X also trailed the Lotus Evora by just .02 seconds in their track test, beat the 370z by .78s and the XFR by 1.92s

Damn. I'm really glad I got a 2011 then. I'm still gonna get a retune, but wow, for the people who will drive the car stock, that's a whole lot of performance.

i was thinking , how would this look like in the 08 tests when the X came out. Because literally nothing changed in the engine set up besides , plastic parts and tune.

Is it just the tune then? Because that is a pretty monstrous 0-60 (not that that's necessarily important). trap time is equally impressive.. it can't still be 291hp can it? It's curb weight was listed at 3600lbs, same tires etc. I dont think gear ratio changed either..

I think, though, in terms of retune, there will be less of an impressive gain for you over stock, since the car should be pretty much the same mechanically since 08

so a tune on 2010's and up won't be as beneficial as 2008's?

More like 2008 had a LOT to gain from a tune.. I'm assuming technically yes, since cars should mechanically be pretty much the same? not that i know or have any business here lol

Well, the end result would be the same, but the 2008s are just really crummy from the factory.

WOT in my stock 2011 is pure bliss. Wondering if the 2011 ap maps (when released) are even going to do anything for me now.

I wonder how those numbers would compare to the '10 SE.... quicker shifts but slightly less effective tune.

I'm not sure the 2011 tune is different then the 2010. As far as I know, this is the first time I've seen any publication test an 2010+ GSR - previously they have used all MRs and SEs from what I've seen.

Cobb says do NOT flash any of the 2010 tunes to a 2011 X...

R&T has the SE going 0-60 in 4.5 and the 1/4 in 13.2 @ 104.3mph. So, the GSR they tested is slightly faster. But, the 104 vs. 106 trap speeds is a nice difference
