brand new evo x problems

soo i just picked up a 2011 octane blue evo x gsr

driving it home my orange check engine soon or something like that popped up.

also my iphone says retry when i try to connect it to the usb.

it has 150 miles its brand new and already two somewhat big problems, any ideas on fixes for the iphone or reasons for CEL ?

stock car? yes, like said above, if the car is that new, turn around and have it fixed for free by the dealer. otherwise get a code scanner and see what the deal is. best of luck with your fix

lol wow... think about this in a good way. 150 miles you haven't voided the warranties yet.

Definately take it back. I'm going to guess that the check engine light is the loose gas cap though! And as for the USB connector, I was under the impression that you can only connect a USB stick with songs on it as it was never meant as an ipod interface. Don't quote me on that.

That's exactly what happened to me. I didn't click the cap enough and had a check engine light after 10 miles LOL

OP said "or something like that". I am guessing its the TPMS light. Those things are sensitive to weather conditions...and air.

My iPhone doesn't connect to my 2011's USB either. I believe it has to do with the firmware. My iPod touch and iPhone 3Gs both have iOS 4. I gave up and just used a spare 8gb usb flash drive.
