grinding sound when steering left.

hey guys, i am having a bit of a issue lately and i need some help.

my car is a brand new evo x, driven so far only 2000 miles.

recently after installation of a tbe i noticed a grinding noise that i get when steered on the left only, the sound coming the front. further details are that the sound is very faint, and theres a faint vibration to the steering wheel as well but all this happens only when the car is being driven on the road on a high rpm. i put it on a ramp and drove but there was no sound or vibration on any rpm or speed.

i finaly tried coasting the car while steering left but on neutral. the sound and vibration clears. also while coasting left and on neutral, should i rev to a high rpm, the sound comes back, like I said, from the front.

so basicaly the car has to be rolling on the street on high rpm while steering left, and the sound and the vibration will be there, irrelevent off speed or gear. i also tried turning off the ayc and acd but didnt help.

my mechanic is still looking into the issue. if you guys have any comments, please let me know
thanks

so does this grinding noise happen at the left front of the car when turning left or does it seem to be towards the rear when turning left or what?

the grinding sound happens to come, well since its really faint, hard to pinpoint, probably around the center from the front. theres no sound coming from the back.

I had the same problem, I took it back to the dealer and they took the wheel off and it was just the brake pad tapping a bit. The pad got a bit worn down and sound is gone. Only have 5k on the car now. Its 8 months old.

now that you have removed the dump pipe are there any marks on it to indicate it was fouling the steering equip?

problem solved

well, the problem has been resolved. I am running my aftermarket tbe once again and there are no issues at the moment. I believe my mechanic would have detected at the very begining had there been any fouling of the steering equipment. Thanks everyone for looking.
