My wife and I purchased the Cybex Anton 2 infant seat and it's compatible with several of the more popular strollers. We have the City Mini stroller. The infant seat fits in the Evo X like a DREAM. Lots of room up front for both passengers.

I have 2 Recaro kids seats in my X. Both fit without issues or having to have the front seats pushed forward...an infant car seat would definitely fit, though with that...you may have to push the seat forward .

just fyi, with a newborn, you need a rear facing baby seat for at least the first 6 months or when they've reached something like 25lbs.

the rear facing seat takes up ALOT of room. i had to move the front passenger seat up really far. i'm 6'2" and can't fit in the passenger seat after that. i had to sit sideways because the knees were hitting the glovebox and i started cramping up within minutes (i was drinking and wife was DD). my wife is around 5'4". she JUST fits.

Hmmm... I might be a little picky but when I did put my toddler's car seat in the Evo, I had to put it on the passenger side and move the front passenger seat up enough to where my wife (5'2") could still fit comfortably for one reason, my toddler's shoes. No way in hell I'm letting someone kick the back of my leather Recaros, even if it is my own son.

Also, it could just be the brand of the car seat (Greco) but if I could trust my toddler not to kick the backs of my seat, he still wouldn't be able to sit behind me and I'm only 6'2" as well. I evened out the front drivers and passengers seats and my sons shoes where touching with his legs just hanging...

This is why my next car will be an X and not a 350Z.

If it makes you feel better (or worse), that part of your seat is not leather.

That's why I have these:
