EVO X GSR Camber HELP!!! need 5 degrees neg

Hi guys, John Scott here, I own Cambertire and I have some 265/35/18" tires coming out at both 3 and 4 degrees negative camber built in. I have been running my 2 degree 245/40/18" tires and with minor hole elongation in the rear and camber bolts up front I have been able to reach 3 degrees neg camber with zero toe or even some toe out if desired. NOW, I need the adjustability to use up to 5 degrees negative front and rear and still zero toe or toe out available if desired. NOW, I do NOT want to change to coilovers or to change anything suspension wise because I need to prove what these tires can do with stock components and only an alignment change, coilovers etc... will make back to back comparisons with stock evos imporssible. I AM willing to use (& I think I will have to) Camber plates but they must be compatible with stock shocks/springs etc...

Now, I was thinking of cutting the rear suspension bars and putting in threaded adjusters to expand the lower bars length and shorten the upper bar length in the rear and I assume I will need to put eccentric bushings in the Toe Link mounts etc....

In front Camber Bolts (upper & lower) and camber plates should hopefully come close to 5 degrees but I need a full 5 degree capability...

ANYONE who can help would be great! I am ready to buy parts if anyone has them???

Thnx, JRS

I don't know why the hell you would want -5 as you're basically hurting the car's performance, but camber plates should put you close to -5. Vorshlag is probably your best best. For the rear you could probably get adjustable lower control arms.

265 and you need 5* of camber? what size and offset wheels are running? 18x12 +0? some absurd camber to get some 265's to fit.

My god you guys can you read?!?!?

Below is a quote from my original post, SHEESH!!

"Hi guys, John Scott here, I own Cambertire and I have some 265/35/18" tires coming out at both 3 and 4 degrees negative camber built in"

There NOW can any of you actually stop being negative and actually read before you make unbelieveably STUPID responses ?!?!?

"Segfault" at least you offered some advice, thanks for that but even you did not take the time to read and figure out that the tires have camber built in and suggested I would hurt performance LOL NOT!.....

By the way THIS WEEKEND at Pikes Peak International Raceway my 2 degree Cambertires took first place (and third) my 4 degree tires will be OUTRAGEOUS I assure all of you.

wish i could help you john. Believe it or not, there are very knowledgable members out there, but you have to sort through the trash to find them.

that being said, the suspension related sub-forums in the forum list should be your best bet, sending PM's might be a more direct way of by-passing the turds. cheers!

btw, are these tires related to the camber tires by evasive?

Im certainly not an expert, but I dont think youre going to get -5 degrees on the stock suspension.

You're right, I missed that.

I'm a little confused on camber tires. If your tire comes at -3 degrees, does that mean the tire would look like -3 degrees on a suspension setup that has 0?

^ no it means you can run -3*'s of camber and have full contact patch and no excessive camber wear on the tires.

Like said above, Vorslag makes quality front camber plates for both Coilover and stock strut fitments and if you want rear camber control, Whitline makes a rear camber kit. Good luck on your mission.

P.S, I think I saw you out at Pikes Peak. I'm located in the Front Range if you ever need any help. Have fun!
