An Unused power cord wtf?!?!?

If your wont start now, definitely anti theft related. Try to over ride it with the real key in the ignition. Could also be related to the SST, and car won't start because it thinks the car is not in neutral.

The dealership guy is having a hard time and apparently the computer won't talk to my car to tell it whats wrong and stuff he said I might have a faulty module "something". No clue to be honest but I'm still curious as to what that wire is suppose to go to, if anything.

Well so here is the update and I guess final end situation out of this deal.
So let me start off where I left off.
The car was fixed today and I went to go pick it up.
Now when I got there I had a chat with the Service manager and it went something like this
He said that the problem with my car WAS these two wires and what happened was that the two wires had touched and caused a short which blew a fuse and the result was no power to turn the ignition. He then told me it wouldn't be covered under warrenty because it was hooked into the LED's I put into the car. NOW!! This was utter bull**** the LED system I installed was a stand alone series circuit run from the battery itself and nothing else was done at all. I then asked which fuse it blew and he said the ignition system fuse for the Igntion turn switch and I then asked the size of the fuse he told me that it was a 10 amp fuse. I said that was really funny considering that I installed a 5 amp cylinder Inline fuse on the independent line running from the battery and that even if it had been hooked up woulda tripped the 5 amp fuse well before the 10 amp fuse ( BUT THIS IS IRRELEVENT BECAUSE IT WASN'T ASSOCIATED WITH THE LEDS). This becomes apparent to the manager after I asked to talk with the Lead Technician who fixed my car and he said exactly what I said that it had nothing to do with the LED's themselves and was this random wire which was connected to the yellow ignition wire on the steering console which he removed. He said though that they can't honor the warrenty because the wires themselves are not mitsuibishi wiring there completely different.
So I got stuck with the bill. (which wasn't much because I worked out a deal with them because I was furious at them for not honoring it when I bought the vehicle from them and it was a showroom car and they must have done something prior to me owning it.)

Yeah, I mean all in all I was on holidays 4 hours from my base at which I work out of and I need my car all the time not having a car is not acceptable. So I'm happy that it was just a fuse and it's fixed I'm outraged and angry that they billed me for it when it's clearly something that was done before I bought the car by them. They point the finger at me, I point the finger at them. Kinda understandable that they think I was messing around with those wires. But I even told them that I wouldn't even know how to access that area of the car to install the wire that was there and I wouldn't know what wire to tap into. Also I found out that ANY!!! and I mean ANY (small big medium) warrenty issue on Evo's has mega amounts of paper work/pictures/files/diagnostics/ and just about every other form of inspection and such before mitsubishi pays out and this is why Evo owners have such hard times with the dealerships.
On the plus side I will be getting my money back in other ways through them

Wish I would have seen this earlier! Same situation happened to me in my old Evo. Had a loose wire under the steering column. When I turned the ignition it caused a short which popped a fuse under the hood. Took me a while to find the short but found it. At least you had found the wire and all you would have had to do was check your fuses to determine the problem. New lesson learned though and now you have her back on the road again.
