The shift light is a cool idea. It'd be cool if you can turn on/off a beeping noise so you feel like a racer when you're DD'ing. LOL.

Question

An "ECO" light for an EVO? What a joke~ Unless the light itself can do magic and acutally save few pennies of gas for u lol.

Yep, it was on my '08 as well. You could set it to whatever RPM you wanted.

Yeah that would be cool my old 04 had one too. A beep would be nice so you can keep you eyes in the road.

I just don't understand what the big deal is about a shift light? Sounds very ricers to me for a DD. I can just imagine a civic driving next to me with a little light blinking on their dash. You can't just feel when to shift?

I'd trade the shift light for a strong and smooth shifting performance-geared 6spd manual.

IMO: beep is better than shift light. do you really pay attention to the light during the acceleration ?

Beeps are annoying... shift lights are cool... but you should be able to choose what rpm it lights up at... and be able to turn it off too.

Better if it's integrated subtly into the instrument cluster... and not just some tacky big light stuck somewhere on the dash.
