Read the owner's manual more closely, they do not void your warranty just for disabling VDC, they void your warranty for disabling VDC when something breaks when you do. In other words, launch the hell out of the car at your own risk. Launching a car has no place on the street and will never be used outside the track so I don't disagree with them one bit.

Roll = street racing. Which means OP must be a massive moron and this thread has stupidity. There is no racing done from a roll.

They are easily rebuilt for the most part we have done alot of them.
The stock trans in that car can take alot of power just keep the abuse down.
The trans new from the dealer isn't 20k anymore either that price has come down.

Considering is not a lot of GT-R out there, then must be a fragile transmission. Or I assume all the GT-R is massively upgraded.
What is usually give up in them?
Simular to the SST problems?

Kinda of open ended question. Your combination of parts and your tune are what matter for any goal. for instance, there are 50 people who have gt35's and blacks and what not, but cant even break into the 10's. I have smashed every GTR ive ran into with a FPWhite turbo. This includes a Cobb tuned one. Im not saying by any means at all that my (old) evo is going to beat all GTR's. Thats foolish thought. Im just pointing out, that the set up and your ability is what matters. FPWhite 10.70's at near 130 mph. Gets the job done OH, for cost of my car vrs GTR. my car 25k plus 20-25K with English Racing. 50k( fully built evo) to the factory gtr 80k. Still leaves me 25-30k to fix sh_it

How much are they now?

Even >$13k is still a ton of money for a transmission.

The Mitsu SST is what, $9k brand new from the dealership? The point is, don't break one, but if you do, they are becoming more easily rebuilt as time goes on which is a good thing.

But you don't always have control over your transmission breaking. While often produces quality parts, there are defect %'s in every part that is manufactured. A temp sensor could fail in 100k miles, could fail in 20k miles. $9k is still a ton of money for a transmission, especially when it's on a $38k car.

That's why you get the evo with a real transmission. Get a GSR

*duck and run*

I did. I had a 2008 MR and now have a 2011 GSR. That was half the reason. The other half was unrelated to cars.
