Spacer question for stock wheels
Hi guys, this will be my first time dealing with rims/spacers/springs, so bare with me. I want to go performance mods first for my 08 Evo GSR. But before that, I want to have my wheels lowered and as less gap as possible from the fender. I lowered my car on Tein Springs and painted it dark bronze. Now i need a set of spacers to push it out flush.
-What size spacers would be good for stocks wheels with Tein Spring?
-Would I need to do any fender wall cutting or folding?
I plan on getting some TM02s later.. but before that, I really want some exhaust/intake mods.. i think it looks terrible with that big wheel gap
thanks for help!

I used the wheel paint sprays sold at local car stores..
- sand paper oem rim
- 2 layers of primer
- 2 layers of black paint
- 3-4 layers of bronze
- couple layers of gloss over it..
I don't like all black or all bronze.. so i sprayed black first then bronze on top.. came out pretty nice! adjust the # of layers to get the shade of bronze you like..
if you do this, be sure to take off the added weights outside the wheel and later just glue it back on. I forgot to take it off and sprayed over it. looked really ugly when I had to take it off on a tire change
this is how it turned out after 2 days of drying.. before i lowed the car.. you can see how i just sprayed over the weight tabs

Scroll to the first post of this thread. Get the 15MM, they fit perfectly, no fender mods needed.
EDIT: Get the bolt on type.

15mm plus the stock offset of 38mm gives you an effective offset of 23mm. You will see most people buy 22mm offset rims and 1mm is about the width of two pubic hairs, so it's close. It's flush but it wont rub. If you want flusher, then you probably want 20mm but since I don't have personal experience with 20mm ones, someone else might chime in.

I've had 20mm on for 10k miles so far with no issues at all. Ichiba. No fender rolling, special lugs...nothing. Installed myself and had the alignment checked.
