HELP! Surf wax on my seat!
So I left my surfbag in my car and when I took it out later that day the wax melted inside my board bag and when I tilted the board to get it out it spilled down and onto my seats. I tried scrubbing it off with shampoo but no dice. Any ideas on what to do? I was thinking maybe a heat gun and then try scrubbing or do you thi k an auto detailing can get this out? Ugh such a bummer. I will post a pix when I get home.
I dunno why but the phone cam made the seats come out really green / grey

That sounds like a good plausible idea, hmm I threw out my steamer but yea I think that might work, the heat from the steam may will hopefully heat it up enough to scrub it off with a horse brush.

i spilled was on my carpet one time..... get a paper bag... rip or cut it to fit over spot..... use iron to go over the bag over the spot. the heat will (should, if it didnt get changed when you shampooed it) melt the wax into the paper, then just lift off paper and it "should" come out. like i said this works for fresh wax. good luck

Diluted isopropyl alcohol will dissolve the wax. Put a little on a towel, test it first to make sure the fabric doesn't get damaged by it. If the fabric handles it, apply the alcohol to a towel and dab the wax. Do a small spot, shampoo, repeat until all the wax is gone. You need to make sure the dissolved wax is removed as quickly as possible, otherwise the alcohol will evaporate and the wax will reform.

i did not see the pic originally.
i thought there was a layer of surf wax hardened on the surface of the fabric.
looks like you rubbed it in real good you tried to shampoo it out.
any way.......go to an upolstery shop and have them remove the cover.
take the cover to a dry-cleaner.
they will be able to chemically remove the wax without damaging the fabric

You sure that's wax? Looks like a fapping accident to me .
On a serious note... Take it to a professional car detailer that uses steam. Your best bet is to heat that sucker up with steam and use high absorptive cloth to take it out. Do not use liquid.

i'd probably take it to a pro and ask them what they'll do (just to make sure) and have them do it. other wise if you want to try yourself, putting a regular paper towel on it and then ironing over it, making sure not to burn the seat might work.
i've spilled candle wax on carpet (RED wax on WHITE carpet, lol) and i thought i was screwed till i googled the technique i mentioned. it would get like 99% of the wax, you can't even see it until you put your nose to to it.
but i would seriously get a pro to do it.
