4.0" - 22whp over stock
The reason for the gains are due to the size of the intercooler. These cars flow a ton of air volume due to the dual mivec that the factory intercooler is actually restrictive.!.
Mike: So, were the above gains achieved on a stock Evo X equipped with a stock X turbo and just swapping IC's w/o a tune, or was the test car fitted with an upgraded turbo as well? Just wanted to make sure. Thanks!

Incidentally, do you think that one of your 5.0" cores might fit on a X? Also, could you do an Evo X IC with either the 3.8", or the 4.5" Garrett cores?

I say for the price the ETS system is totally worth. This thread had actually helped me to make my decision on which one I am going to go with and that the ETS complete inter-cooler system.

I had a UR intercooler on my previous X and the install was a bit of a p.i.t.a. with spacing the crash bar out and drilling rivets out of the car and such. I believe the ETS core bolts right in and I'll be getting one when the time comes. The UR intercooler was great though, and they sent me a christmas card with a discount for their online store lol.

stock turbo car.

We have a special core made for the X that is 20x5, the standard 8/9 cores will not work since they are 22 to 24 wide. The 20x5 is your best bet.

Khool! This is definitely what I'll get as my first mod as soon as my deal for an EvoX, which is currently under negotiation, goes through as hoped for.{thumb up} Wish me luck.

LMAO ultimate racing. I used to live literally 10mins away from them...and it was still hard to get a hold of them! Plus their products aren't that impressive whereas ETS always has great products.
