First time on snow/ice with 2011 Evo X
Well, winter decided to visit Minnesota today. Nothing blizzard like, but about 4 inches of ice mixed with snow. Driving was treacherous except that I was driving my son's Evo X that just had Blizzak WS60 snow tires put on yesterday.
This car is insane. Traction is pretty much like it would be in dry conditions. The takes off from slippery intersections like normal driving in the summer. The handling is insane. While everyone, and I mean everyone was trudging along, spinning tires from intersections and tippy toeing through turns, the Evo took everything in stride. Definitely the best car I have ever driven in the winter. Winter never looked so good.
I took a famous Christmas song and edited it:
The turbo is slowly spinning, And, my dear, with an Evo you are winning, But as long as you don't make me drive slow, Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the awd is so delightful. And, since we've got an Evo, let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
It doesn't show signs of stopping, And I've bought some WS60's for stopping, the driving lights are aimed way down low, Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
When we finally have to call it a night, how I'll hate going home from the storm! But if you'll really hold the Recaros tight, I'll turn up the heat and you'll be warm.

They were just going to slow at the beginning to make it up the hill!
That's pretty unreal though! It was kind of hard to make out how steep the hill was, or wasn't I suppose. *shakes head* I just stay home when it gets this bad!
