To those with Race Gas....

Any of you purchase it from online and get it shipped? More importantly I assume you have a map specific to it and don't run it 100% of the time. Do you get to the track, empty the tank and put in the race gas? I'm thinking about getting tuned on VP ms 109 but jesus that crap is expensive. Also I dont know anyone that runs race gas so I'm not sure of any precautions. I don't have a way to get my car hauled to the track so my only option would be to empty the tank (93oct) and put in the ms109 right? Then after my runs just fill back up with 93 pump and be on my way.

Any problems with this?

Do u have E85 in your area? Would recommend that over the race gas option...but also needs tune and supporting nods...but similar (if not the same) gains

closest E85 station is a little more an hour away. With the mileage I get I would be in the same boat and would have to get some shipped to my house. Plus MS 109 seems to be a bit more powerful / or allow more boost with a black.

I prefer any of the vp fuel over e85; with vp, you know the exact octane you are getting and it doesnt max out your fuel system quite like e85 will. To answer your question though, yes, you can empty your tank at the track and swap fuels and this will work. I run c16 exclusively in the evo and it is leaded so over time you will have to replace your o2 sensors as they will get destroyed from the lead fairly quickly. Also, leaded fuel will kill your catalytic converter so plan on running a test pipe eventually. I dont remember if 109 is leaded or not, but something to think about.

MS 109 is unleaded and I already have a test pipe so I should be good to go. I'm just not sure how much I should order at a time and where/how to store it. Going to have to go do some research.

Does anyone have an exact method of emptying the tank and refueling with another fuel? Once you empty the tank and refuel with new fuel, how long do you let the car run to clear out the old fuel?
