Should i trade my 135i for a evo x
Hey guy's I have a fbo 135i and thinking of trading for a evo x almost fbo.I love the 1 for the luxury and power, but miss the brute power the evo produces.I know if I trade for this x,all I'll need is a ets 6262 b.b turbo kit and I'm at 520 whp all day on pump gas.I really just miss the way the evo felt and drove, but feel like a might be down grading going with it.What do you guys think ,should I trade it or keep the 1 it make around 415 on pump gas.???Thanks need as many responses as possible.
NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE WHO HAD A EVO ,AND STILL LOVE THEM!!!!!!

a 135 isnt even that luxurious lol. The car feels so cheap. I went from evo x, to m3, back to evo x and never looked back. Your setting yourself up for huge repair bills down the road with the 135i, trust me on that.

All I can say is when I test drove the 135 a couple years back I was greatly impressed with power and luxury for the price at the time. And from all my research on n54tech and 1addicts they are very powerful with bolt-ons. I personally want one as my next toy and I also think they look better than the X. But I guess if you looking for easy big power the X would be your bet but I don't know how anyone can say that the 135 isn't luxurious compared to the X. I felt the x interior was worse than my IX. I do agree however that the maintenance cost on the 135 must be way more expensive especially if anything happens to that motor.

LOL@ just slapping on a 6262 and having a reliable 520whp car first off. No stock 4-cylinder with that much power is going to last long. With that said if you like the Evo X get one, I had one for a few months and sold it because I wasn't in love with it.
We currently have an Evo IX, S2000, and an E90 M3 and I have to say that I love the daily driving characteristics of the BMW. I love the grunt of the V8, the way it looks when it's clean, the interior, the comfort, sound system, etc. If your heart truly desires a light, fast, awd sedan then get the Evo X. I find that RWD is just more fun and this is coming from someone who owns a fully built IX, but again it's all personal preference. I'd go for a test drive in a stock Evo X, find a local shop and find someone with a 500whp Evo X, ride in said 500whp Evo X, compare it to your BMW, make a decision.
P.S. the one HUGE positive that I found with my Evo X was when S-AYC started working, you can really feel it helping out. The X may weigh more than the IX's but they're fun to drive. However, after driving lighter RWD car's I found that crutch to be one of the things that took the fun out of really "driving" a car. Not something you should really worry about if you never track; and if you don't track S-AYC is going to put a smile on your face every time you get into it a little on some back roads.

I would keep the i35i and still get an Evo X or get a used Evo 8 or 9. All are great cars. Hard choice
