Simply put, best car I have ever driven when used with snow tires. I had a small thread on this in November: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...011-evo-x.html
There are lots of threads on this subject btw.

dont use extreme summer performance tires.
depending on where you are all-season tires will do the trick, if not get blizzacks.
Point and gun it then jerk the other way around and start drifting in a CLOSED road/parking lot.

Like someone said above, I have to add a +1 to the X being the best car I've ever driven in the snow. The between AYC and the extra weight over my evo8, it is leaps and bounds better, simply amazing.
OP, do you have any CELs at all, maybe your AWC system is acting up?

If the car is all over the place, I cant help to think that your still on stock Advans?? If so, you def. need to get some tires. Thats my only assumption. We've had a few dustings of snow so far this year. My g/f's evo x has the continental dws and it gets around great.

here is one of your best possible trick for DD. in the snow and winter.
You need nothing more then that, and the same token nothing less then a dedicated winter +snow tire for a winter.

I'd say it's a pretty good assumption. Seven posts, MY 2010....still on stock tires I'd bet. If he was on a good all season or winter tire, would he have posted this question?
No.
*edit* I think this dude is trolling.

Why do people always assume he's on summer tires? OP lives in Reno so its possible but if he had an STi before I would HOPE that he knows how important tires are.
