Evo X Recaros not too good?

Hey guys just got my car and it has about 1k miles on it. Im already noticing that on my recaro seat on the bottom left where it "hugs" your leg the suede is already starting to get messed up just from me getting in and out of it ...anyone else have this problem?

I'm at 10k and no, no wear at all.

My Sparco Milano 2's had about 70k when I noticed significant rubbing and about 110k when it tore through. It's inherent in suede (alcantra on the Sparcos), but I don't see the Recaros on our X's wearing any faster than usual.

mine is almost 4.5k miles already and the seats still looks new so it depends on how you use it i think. i'm pretty careful when getting out of the car cause i'm a bit of an ocd.

suede just does that, the Recaro's are actually great seats. It might not get worse, could just be getting used to your butt and how you sit. The seats do have a warranty.

i have the heated leather recaros and after 6K miles, i'm noticing the padding is "flatter" than the passenger one for obvious reasons. But I guess that's expected since driver seat time is much greater than having a passenger. The leather and bolsters are holding up well and still look new though. Again, I think it's how you get in and out of the car. I too am a bit OCD with that.

Yeah when you get out of the car, instead of sliding over the bolster(wearing it down) lift yourself up and over it. That is what I do, and it has prevented any real wear on it. Granted I only have a bit over 20k miles, but still. I don't see it being an issue.

Holy crap the seats have a warranty? How long?

Thanks for the info guys, yeah i have a very bad tendancy to slide my leg over the bolster, hence why the left one looks a little "used up" and the right one looks new. But either way I'd assume it would become a problem after maybe 20k+ miles, not after 1k.. :/

Honestly no, and I'm 6'2 210. My Sparcos are 1/2" or so narrower in the seat pan, so maybe I'm just adjusted.

Yea they get a little wear pattern on cloth seats from regular use kinda early on but it prolly won't get much worse. And yes the Recaro seats are much better than others, such as the STi seats.

They will prolly warranty the seats for most stuff, but just a little wear is something they will tell you that they need to check on with a Mitsu rep and not call u back. Like others said this kind of suede does that in general, but shouldnt really get worse.

I am @ 1600 miles and mine(full leather) already has wear. I am very careful when getting in and out of the car but I guess I am too fat for the seat so no matter how hard I try the seat still wears fast

My friends X has 60k and the only problem he's had with the seats is the stitching coming out of of the plastic where the holes for the harnesses are. Other than that, they look near flawless.

Do this^^^ and you should be ok... I've been doing this since my 1st bucket seat, it being stock or aftermarket and I have never had a problem
