Who replaced there clutch and how long did it take ?
Hi,
Who replaced there clutch here and how long did it take.
If you did it alone, how long did it take.
If you did it at a shop, how long did it take them.

If you drive it daily and dont abuse it just once a while here and there, once or twice a year take it to the track to do few 1/4 runs and have minor mods like intake, ic pipes, full exhaust and a tune.
What is a nice clutch for this amount of work nothing crazy expensive but not cheap, something GOOD.
Would you consider do a upgrade on flywheel or stock one is perfectly fine.
Help me out here guys.

Well, considering that I'm a spirited driver and have been modded since 2k miles, my clutch still feels great. I'm currently sitting on 23,000 and feel like it's going to last me another 8 if i take care of it.

I'm on stock clutch at 32k still no slipping, feels amazing I would trust it for atleast another 10-15k miles as long as I don't launch it and such.
Putting down roughly 350 to the wheels for 15k+ miles.
With that being said my clutch has been taken care of, I don't launch it and I try to baby it most of the time, I do like to do pulls here and there.

It's realistically about an 8 hour job best case and probably 16 hours if you are amateur, I would not recommend doing it solo and I can promise that you will probably regret trying, super especially without a hoist.

First time changing it sucks. It will save you a lot of money though if you end up having to change it yet again

My shop book calls for 9.9 hrs... that said, be sure to have help, even with a hoist.
Mellon racing has an ACT clutch disc if you aren't looking to upgrade the flywheel or pressure plate, but the bearing is a pain to find if you don't get it in a kit.

I am currently on my 4th clutch. Stock went at 20k, exedy stage 1 went at 25k, exedy twin went at 41K and I am currently on another exedy twin. Needless to say I have a lot of practice, I can have mine done in approx. 6.5 hours with no breaks. I recommend taking out the pill. It made the world of difference. As for brand ACT or Exedy are both good IMO.

clutch question
hi so just wondering, i bought an Evo from Japan and the mileage was in the 120K would i be right to say that the clutch was changed? the clutch according to my friend feels like stock. but how long can a stock clutch last?
