Reoccurring P0172

2008 X
Only mods-
k&n filter in stock box, car supposedly has cams

Replaced both o2 sensors within the last 25 miles, checked all couplers
Bosch 15730 pre cat, bosch 15733 post cat

Start the car and let it idle, within minutes I get a pending P0172 (too rich bank 1)

Hoping you guys can throw some ideas my way as I am running out of them myself.

Stock injectors with aftermarket cams sounds strange. It could be a maf scaling issue or injector scaling issue.

I flashed the car back to a stock rom for the time being. I monitored the afr's with an innovate sniffer.

Hmmmm... good point. Maf scaling, I understand it to a point but haven't had to mess with it yet. Injectors are stock and scaled as such.

Thats the confusing part, this would point to injector scaling being off but they are stock injectors scaled as they are on the stock map.

Any chance that you (or the previous owner) over-oiled the K&N? If so, clean the MAF (with, e.g., spray cleaner) and clear the code.

^ that was part fo the issue, it was covered.

Turns out the injector latency was off at the higher voltage. AAH the fun of picking up the pieces of a half complete car...

Glad I have the forum to talk out loud on or my friends would think im crazy
