When I don't have the wife or baby in the car, I shift between 4-5.5k with the occasional pull to red line. With them in the car, I'm usually shifting around 3.5k

After my E tune I have been shifting at about 7100 on the track. Give or take. It hits cutoff just about that. Street it's about 4k. When I rebuild someday I want a 10k redline or close to it.

While racing or competing, I never ever ever look down. Emery used to tell me I should shift when the car feels like it's slowing down. I always shift when I feel it, and I never hit the rev limiter (8K). I understand that just doesn't work for most people, so I would say shift wherever your power peaks.

As for driving around town, I like to be conservative for gas mileage purposes and stay under 3k rpms, but I'll bring her up to 4.5-5k if I want the world to hear the song of my people

I'd be curious to see if anyone has any track times to help recognize what the optimal shift points would be. Has anyone with stock turbo played with their shift points to find what gives the highest trap speed in the 1/4 mile? Is it around 7200 or closer to 8000?

Does anyone here just coast/cruise at 1900-2400 rpm in 5th? I know not to WOT in 5th at that rpm. I just like to keep my gas prices down so thats what rpm I am usually at when daily driving.
