How are the gas prices effecting you?

Have you guys actually calculated the difference in price when gas goes up? It's not that much.
Take $3.80 vs $4.30 a gallon. If you drive 20k miles a year (I actually drive about 12k), then it's a difference of $500.
20,000 miles per year / 20 mpg = 1000 gallons per year
1000 gallons per year * $3.80 = $3800 spent on gas annually
1000 gallons per year * $4.30 = $4300 spent on gas annually
To me $500 isn't a big deal to spread out between the year. It certainly doesn't justify buying another car to try and attempt to make up the difference. I just pay and drive, enjoy the car.

I just look at it as how much it costs to fill up more than before. If gas rose a whole dollar higher, I am paying like $10 extra to fill up. Its not killing me lol.

Actually the Canadians already drilled and wanted to run their pipeline (believe it was going to be called the north American pipeline) down through pretty much the middle of our country and it was going to bring us more barrels a day then we import but Obama said no thanks and now china is trying to make a deal with Canada to get it.
Last I heard Canada said they got the oil regardless and they don't care who buys it as long as someone does, they preferred to run the pipeline since its the cheapest route.
Forget the reason Obama said no, I'm sure you can google the whole thing.

The prices won't stop me from driving the Evo but it does hurt everytime I dump $60-$70 for a tank of gas.
I have a ITR at home that I don't use and maybe should this summer- it costs about 1/3 less for the same driving...
EVOs are pigs on gas but soooo much fun.
