Disconnect Battery to Install Exhaust

One question and I tried to find it in the forum but I couldn't. Should I disconnect the battery in order to install a catback system? I don't know on the EVO but in my other car every time I put an intake or something I disconnect the battery. Please let me know what you guys think.

You do not have to disconnect the battery to put on your cat-back.

Lmaolmaolmaolmaolmaolmaolmao-no. You are taking it as if you have to drop the whole motor, when all you have to do is loosen 2 screw and pull on 2 cables. This thread=pointless.

Don't forget to wear rubber soled shoes and a hair net when changing your exhaust. Safety first.

If you are doing turbo back, yes you do...it will reset the ECU to adjust for the afr, fuel trims and other things. But just a cat-back, no you dont.

I know what the guy is talking about he is worried about the new air/fuel and some cars say you should do a reset. As for the evo I don't know. One guy said only with a TBE. I would be more concerned with getting it tuned.
