Waugh... I just paid off my car!!!

Just sent the payoff check

Been my daily for 18 months all still stock (well except for brake pads and fluid, if that counts).

Whenever i think of modding the car i pay that amount of money i was going to spend to the principal of the car and boy it paid off quick.

This is the latest pic of the car

So pay off the car before modding... the car is plenty quick in stock form... I know because i overtook an modified S2000 once and boy it felt great. But i still give the driver credit because S2000 is a very difficult car to drive.

Keep driving!

grats man. i always wondered tho... when sending in your monthly payment, how do you pay more then the minimum? do you have to notify them that youre paying more than the minimum so that they deduct it from the principal? or if you just send in a check of like say $1000 (when youre monthly is, lets say, $500); theyll just know?

thanks dude!

when you pay more than the required monthly payments just write across your check "Add additional balance to principal." Check with your lender first though.

Congrats! Wish I had that mind-set.

No, you need to mention it when you send the payment. Otherwise it may just go towards your next months regular payment.

"Waugh"? You celebrate paying off your car by reading chick novels?

In other words: congrats.

As a financial advisor im proud that you paid off a liability and decreased your monthly payments. as a enthusiast Im shocked that you kept it stock for this long!!

Awesome philosophy. Dunno if I can adopt that, but it sounds good in theory.
