rear cradle damage
went in to get an alignment done, and they informed me that i couldn't get aligned because my rear cradle is bent and need to get it replaced.
Do you guys think that this job is extensive enough for me to justify paying 2x more at the dealership to get it fixed? I'll be going through insurance, but my threshold is $1000, and i can get a local shop to do it for under that price. The dealership is charging me over $2k which will make my insurance premium go up. thoughts?

hell no... the guy above don't know ish... I'd much rather have the dealer do it.. You can ***** and complain to them all you want. A performance shop will tell you to **** off.. No but in all honesty have the dealer do it.. There are some good performance shops but that can be opinionated. So when they screw up and decide not to take blame then what? The dealer has way more to lose, they'll correct it.

yeah they showed it to me. the part on the end where the bolt goes into the suspension arm is completely bent under the bolt. I guess they weren't able to do a toe alignment cuz of that?? correct me if i'm wrong, i'm not too familiar with doing alignments.
i remember running over a piece of debris on the highway that caused it.

Wow, that's a lot of attitude coming from a guy w 5 posts.
My point is that I trust EFI Logics MUCH more than I trust the dealership to both diagnose and repair the car. Find a shop that you trust.

Repair looks great! A nice before and after. Question, I'm in the process of purchasing an Evo 8 that will need the legs replaced in the future but it appears the left side is discontinued. Did you have any issues sourcing the parts?
