Not sure either, I did think I read on this forum that Don Herring in Dallas actually allows you to buy Cobb products and have them installed at the dealer.

Depends on the dealer really. My dealership offers cobb ap and several aftermarket mods for the Evos.

Cobb AP should be fine as long as you uninstall it before you bring it in to the dealership. (though some people say that the dealers can figure out how many times you've flashed the ECU)

Zip tie your car's FPR hose and check all the relays to see if it's bad or not. Common issue with 08 Evo

Hi, I have the same exact car, same year and color. Live in the Manayunk, Roxborough area. The best Mitsu dealership in the area is Cherryhill Mitsu in NJ, and the best tuning shop is RT Tuning. I had mine tuned there a year ago with no issues to date. Heading back to RT Tuning on June 25th early morning to install AMS Downpipe, AMS High Flow Cat, and HKS Hi Power exhaust. Right now it has a K&N Cold Air Intake, and Cobb Accessport protune tune, and 19 inch OZ Racing Lightweight Rims. Runing 26PSI tapered down to 19PSI. 322 HP and 344 TQ.

That sounds like a nice car; please post some pics. I'd like to check it out.

I just ordered C.L RC5e front pads & a K&N drop in filter for my car. I'll have those in Monday night.

I'm also trying to have my drivetrain fluids & oil change/oil filter done ASAP for piece of mind, since I purchased from a dealer and I don't know exactly what they did to it before selling. I'm trying to get in with RT but they're booked solid.

I'm searching to see if another place can get it all done for around RT's pricing. I don't want to bring it to a dealer and pay a "rape fee."

You could look into the CLIFFORD 330.3X, CLIFFORD 320.3X, or CLIFFORD Matrix 1X. Those are their top two alarms without the remote start. I don't know if remote start will work with the keyless entry.

They are 400USD, 350USD, and 300USD respectively, the 330 has a LCD remote, so if/when your alarm is triggered you will be notified on screen, much like the Viper system you were looking at. 320 doesn't have the LCD but has LED lights on the remote that will flash when triggered. The Matrix 1X has the screen remote keychain, but has less features than both the 300 series. AFAIK, you can reprogram all the remotes to lock/unlock the car, should be a given. Personally I would get the Matrix since you get the LCD screen remote and a solid alarm for less.

The only thing that may be lacking is the range. Both are capable of 2000 feet.

Thanks! I will look into those options.

I have been browsing the Private F/S threads bc I'd like to get a used cat back dual exhaust for my MR. Once I get the cat back, K&N drop in filter, & new brake pads on ...bid like to have it tuned up.
