Carbon fiber protection?

Carbon fiber protection?
So I recently picked up a ViS CF trunk and rear diffuser. They both come with a clear coat but I'm wondering if that clear coat provides enough protection from the sun. I see a lot of cars with faded out carbon fiber and it looks terrible. I plan on keeping my car for many years and I'm wondering If that clear coat is strong enough. A friend recommended getting them tinted (one coat of 90% clear 10% black an a second coat of 100% clear) but I get outrageous quotes of $1000. Is it worth it to get them tinted or is ViS' clear coat good enough? Has anyone had a bad experience with ViS products fading? What are some things I can do as far as maintaining my carbon fiber?

Bro I don't think it matters who makes the part BLUF(Bottom Line Up Front) CF anything + sunlight = eventual fade. So you basically have three options: But First, I would go and get some more quotes from other verified body and paint shops because $1000 is ridiculous... then 1) either do the extra clear now or wait until you get the road rash look and then pay the grip to have the stuff re-cleared (pay now or pay later) 2) don't ever park outside where there's no overhead cover or 3) relocate to somewhere where it's overcast all the time and then no worries.

Wax religiously, and then wax again. Even then you won't stop the yellowing, but it does help the majority of it.
Cheaper eBay parts do yellow faster than higher quality, but they all yellow.
You can re-clear coat but the clear coat will still yellow over time too, just like it does on the rest of the paint.

Another option is to use 3M clear film. You can buy it in sheets and do it yourself on your parts. The only drawback is that it won't work well on things like a rear diffuser or vortex generator (due to the fact that it's difficult to install on that stuff), but for a hood or trunk, it works great. Make sure to get the UV protectant film.
