Questions on seats

Quick question on the seats...I currently have the stock Recaros but I am looking at getting something more. I have my eye on one but it was for the 8/9, so will the seat with the rails/sliders, mounts etc fit on/replace the mounts in the X, or will it be incompatible? I am not really looking to do any work with it, just curious if it will bolt right up with little to no involved work?

Also, if I change seats and use 4 points, how do I get the seat belt indicator to shut up?
Thank you.

Pick what chair you want, then go buy the mounting bracket for an Evo X. You might have to drill holes in it to custom fit it. And install and your done.

you'll need resistors to trick the car into thinking that the airbags are still present

There are not airbags in the seats. There are pressure sensors in the passenger seat to tell the car when there is a person there, so it can decide whether to deploy an airbag or not.

There are not sensors in the drivers seat as it presumes you are seated while driving...

Depending on what type of seat you are looking for you can, as another poster indicated. Buy the seat and then figure out what sort of Evo X rail/ bracket system you need.

OK thanks for the clarification, after a little more involved searching, I was able to find some good threads on the topic.

Are you tracking the car? If not it makes zero sense to put a 4 point harness in.

Actually, even if you are tracking, a 4 point is not a great choice. Since you are putting in a new seat, do it right and install a 5 or 6 point harness, if you are tracking.

This is misinformation.

Seats DO have airbags.

It's true it has pressure sensors aswell tho.
