Should I run a turbo timer?

Hello fellow evolved members

I recently got my baby and i want her to last FOR-EEE-VER. lol. She is completly stock except for the custom black ice air freshner. and people have been telling me to get one but is it really necessary?

What are your thoughts?

If so what are good turbo timers?

Thanks for your input.

depends on how you drive, because your foot is the best Turbo timer, and depending on if you have alarm or kefob, because timers keep your car running so thats makes locking it annoying. I am interesting on this subject as well tho

No, they really serve no purpose. Don't drive you car hard for the last minute of driving, by driving the car it cools it down more than letting it sit at idle.

You can get a car alarm with remote start and a turbo timer built into the the alarm system. That's what I have. I only ever turn on the turbo timer of I have drove and need to turn it on and walk away.

Evo X's have a built in turbo timer system. If the vehicle determines the vehicle is excessively hot, it will automatically engage the system for (I believe) a two minute period. Do not buy a turbo timer unless you excessively drive the vehicle hard and shut it right off (I don't know who would do something like this.. its a $36k dollar car)

If you want it to last "forever" drive it about 100 miles a month, no more no less.

HAHA

But to the OP just take it easy before getting to your destination and just sit in the car for a minute or two before shutting it off. That's what I do.

Really though the most critical time to really take care of the engine is when you start it.
That's whan I'm very careful about not putting it under a lot of load or stress.

The engine bay get hotter when you just sit there, if you really want to try and cool your car down open the hood and turn the A/C on full blast ha.

After I drive and run my car WOT I can grab the intake manifold and it will be almost ice cold, after sitting for a minute the manifold gets very warm.

Do you have FASTKey? If so, turbo-timer....No. It's a PITA to work with a turbo-timer.

Clear-Bra. Do it. I regret not doing it.
do hood to the vents, and do the fenders

...if you're really wanting perfection, do the rear fenders on the side. The front tires like to throw some rocks down the body lines
