Planning to go for the Cosworth MX1 Cams for my EVO X
Hi, I am planning to go for MX1 Cam.
Not planning to go for Turbo upgrade for another 1 year but heard that the MX1 can enhance low to mid performance on Stock Turbo.
Any take on this ? Anyone on stock turbo and MX1 who can share their experience?
Thanks in advance.

from the amount of time I have spent on this forum, most people who go with a "stage 1" cam usually regret not getting the "stage 2" right off the bat. Much better gains and practically no loss of driveability. I was in the same boat as you, debating between GSC S1 and S2 cams. I chose the S2s and am super happy I did. Woke the car up alot. I am also on stock turbo.

i had MX1 with stock turbo ( now with BBX FULL and MX1 )
if u are going for Cossworth MX1 u can use your stock Valve Spring
GSC u will need to upgrade the Valve Spring
that is the deal on both cams
anyways its your choice and taste good luck!

escodocarter does have a point too; to stage the car for a turbo upgrade. However, I have to consider my daily driving in the streets of Singapore. Its traffic lights every 100m in the city . I spend about 30% of driving time on highway and the rest city and town driving. As such, drivability is one main consideration. Hence, a turbo upgrade has to be well planned or scrapped to be on the safe side (avoid lag issues).
Correct me if my concept of turbo upgrade is misconstrued. Thanks.

Pretty sure I *JUST* posted this in another thread but....cams + stock turbo = meh.
Upgrade to an EF2 or BBX Lite first. Stock longblock. Do it.
When you do upgrade cams (after you upgrade your turbo...right!?) I'd go Kelford 214-B's. I have them and they idle super nice and make great power. S2's are a little more badass, great cams too but not *quite* as driveable for a dd imho.
