Is this a fact now? I have been hearing this for awhile but from everybody but Mitsubishi. Just curious.

if you dont have nothing emotionally atached to the car just put it back to stock and get the 2013. its the last year of production for the evolution in general and it has the latest in tecnology for that model like everyone knows, so in my opinion you should do it

^ Lol. Read much? Several posts on page 2 explain things pretty well. There may be a way to work this to your advantage, but rest assured that the dealerships aren't initiating this out of the goodness of their hearts.
