^^^Pumps only on for a few seconds (actually 1.5 secs) and you can't really hear it being back in the trunk or at least I can't.

Nice job on relocation! Three of us here in Ottawa have relocated now too. One of the New York guys is coming to Ottawa to have his kit put on Oct 18. I'm trying to post some pics/videos I did on (how to relocate) but I'm not a computer girl and I'm having trouble getting them from my desktop to the site...says the pics are too large and I can't figure out how to shrink them...going to call a lifeline if I can't figure that out soon.

[QUOTE=coryl;11322312]Not sure if anyone will try to install an old pump into their 2008+ Evo. Mitsu changed the pumps/connections for 2008+ Evo's/Ralliarts and placed it in the vulnerable area under the car behind the right rear wheel well. Making fittings, etc, and attaching the different model pump may be a huge hassle. My friend had to purchase a new pump for his Evo 9 in the more protected front end so it does happen, and there's a video out there on repairing these older pumps because they do go bad. If you place any of those pumps underneath the car they will all fail regardless what model of pump.

My response is to the statement that older model pumps don't fail and they definitely do and especially they would if they were to be placed in the vulnerable area under the car behind the right rear wheel. Someone would have to try installing the fittings to see if they are the same or not, but even a slight thread difference will create a problem for leaks in those pressurized lines...I've got the lines and I've also got relocation fittings for the X, but I don't have an older model pump to try them on or I'd definitely try to figure it out because I'd like to know. Just thinking here, I'll send Chris at Autotorque a message and ask him...he should know if the fittings are the same or not because he relocated his Evo 7 pump and has made relocation fittings/kits for our X's. I sent him a message and will keep you posted.
