AEM Cold Air Intake Boost Spike Fix
Good Morning Guys
I bought an 2011 MR recently. It came with a Cobb Cone air filter and was missing the stock box and ram air setup.
As I live in Louisiana and it 's about to start getting pretty hot, I decided I'd rather a box intake kit to keep the engine heat away from the filter. I bought a AEM kit and the carbon fiber replacement ram air duct.
When I researched the forum for intake info, there was lots of praise for the AEM kit for the MR. I am receiving my Cobb AP tomorrow and ready to do some logging and as I researched it a little, I see that there could be terrible boost spike issues with the AEM kit due to the way the vacuum hoses are connected to the boost control solenoids.
Any fixes for this? Thank You

The first thread is from 2008 and I believe the hoses are not the same as then.
The second link didn't work for me.
The third link confounds a change in the intake with a change in maps.
If I were in your shoes, I'd install the box and keep an eye on boost. In fact, I was in your shoes a while ago, did this, and all was fine.

Thank You - I've had it installed for a couple of weeks, haven't noticed and issue. I am planning on playing with the AP this weekend, so I wanted to get some feedback before flashing.
Thanks!
Thanks!
