Turbo X test & down pipe installed = low noise...pleas advice?

Dear Friends

I have BORLA cat back installed long ago in my 2010 MR:

http://www.borla.com/products/evo_x_...t__140285.html

Today i installed Turbo X test & down pipe :

http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Turb...VO-X-2008-2011
http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Turb...VO-X-2008-2011

After installation i start up the car and.......boom , i got noise that brake
my ears , its was so loud that all the neighborhood wake up from the noise .

Now what i can do about it ? i cant drive daily with this noise .
if i will not find solution , i will instal back the stock test pipe .

when i in the track i not have problem , but daily i cant drive like this .

Do you have some advise for me to reduce the noise ?

thanks

amir

I met up with an Evo owner who has the turbo back Turbo XS with the HFC. It wasn't extremely loud. It sounded nice.

I was thinking of getting the Borla myself. I thought it was a little too quite at idle and sounded to high pitched when the rpm's increased. Always been a fan of Borla though. They sound great on the V-8's

like I said before to significantly quiet it down you need to do the following

1) get a HFC and ditch the test pipe
2) Get another inline muffler

Both will sacrifice performance a tad bit in return it will give you a nice and quieter car.

I been contemplating my switch to an ETS HFC.. but I am happy making 400+awhp on E85 lol... People tell me my car is not that loud.. But I guess I gotten older lol and I live in a nice community.
I sure don't want the neighbors knowing when I am coming out lol.

But doesn't the Borla only have an in-line muffler before the rear axle.... If so, where would this second muffler go?

The OP is dead-on with his comment that it's the combination of the Borla with the new test-pipe. The best suggesting so far are a high-floe cat, but anything that flows better than OE is probably still going to be loud.

I've always thought of Borla as loud and not very good. Too fancy-looking by half. Sort of the exact opposite of Magnaflow, which are, in general, relatively quite, pretty darned good, and not fancy at all.

Magnaflow makes a canister style Inline muffler that will fit in place of the test pipe
