New here no bashing please!

Just picked up a 2011 EVO GSR. Have an AEM intake, RRE upper and lower I/C pipe kit, DC sport dual cat back and and COBB V3. Yet to install any of it. If any of you have a setup that is close to the same and would be willing to send it to me your flash I would be in your debt for the help as a starting point. Thanks in advance.

Yeah COBB has some pre made flashes. New to the software and a in order to MAP for the AEM intake you have to do a lot of it with the old cut and paste bit. They have a video tutorial that I watched about a dozen times now. Will give it a go this weekend and see what happens.

Email Micheal Golden, tell him what you have done to the car, and get a basemap. He can also pro tune you from there. It is was i did and i coulnd not be happier.

It's best to get a tune (or "protune" as Cobb calls it). In the meantime, you can run OTS maps, but I'd suggest you avoid pushing the car too much.

He is an Evo X pro tuner. He has a website - goldenevo.com

It would require a laptop with ECUflash, EVO scan, tactrix 2.0 cable, and wideband AF for tuning.

I would recommend him to anyone, anywhere. He knows the X in and out, and tuned my car to perfection.

Hey man,

I know it is a hair over 3 hours but maybe consider going to COBB Surgeline in 16580 SW 72nd Ave., Portland, OR 97224.
503-670-9500

Enjoy the car and treat her right, please get a pro tune somewhere with your mods.

Hey welcome to evoM! This site isn't much for bashing new people. Welcome to the fold-you'll need it

Worth the drive if you're going to use a Cobb AP

If you need help with the map tutorial stuff I can help, but I'm not a tuner

Thanks to all the friendly members. Did my stage 1 flash today and wow. Didn't notice a lot more power but was clear is how much the response of the car changed. With the stock tune it was kinda like no power then all hell broke loose. Pulls nice with an over all better feel. Have a flash ready for Monday after the car gets it DC Sports cat back, RRE upper and lower I/C piping and AEM intake. Thanks Mani8448 for the advice. Once the weather clears up I will make a trip to see them.
