There are some people (like BakaUnchi) that will do e-tunes. You log your car and send him the logs and he makes adjustments based off that and sends you a new tune to update your ecu with. Someone like him would know a lot more about this specific platform.
I second what @RawrImAMonster said. Many people can tune but when you're looking for a route to go regarding mods it's always better to go the extra mile and ask a pro that deals with our specific cars. That'll save you money in the long run and it'll be a lot safer when you start making hp.

I keep hearing alot about etunes- is it safe?

As long as you have a good tuner then yes. Go with Baka or Michael Golden and they will take care of you. You need some hardware/software though, AFR gauge for logging, EVOscan, ECUflash, Tactrix 2.0 cable, and a laptop. I am tuned by Michael Golden, and i couldnt be happier with the tune.

yes

there's a certain set of parameters that are measurable with a computer
and there are known, proven, safe ranges for those parameters
an e-tuner (a good one. Theres only 2-3 good ones, rest only know more than you but aren't really very good but you don't know it) will make minor, refined adjustments to max your power and stay within that range.

It's a lengthy process, a month perhaps, where you run tests with new maps while you get dialed in. Expect half a dozen different, 30 minute sessions of driving and logging. Similar to a "real life" tune, where you would just spend 3-4 hours on a Dyno.

Well I'm going to get my oil, boost & Wideband gauges before i do anything really. Numbers matter!

If you are spending a decent portion of money in the name of performance...get an AFR gauge. It will also provide some peace of mind.
