Potential EVO buyer, quick question.
So i am looking at this 2010 Lancer Evolution SE and i noticed that the rear badge seems strange. The "SE" badge is above the "Evolution" badge and in all of the google images i have searched the "Evolution" badge is supposed to be above the "SE" or "MR" badge. Im just concerned that this car was labeled by the seller and it could just be a "Ralliart" or something.
So how are your EVO X badged? Is this unusual?

Brakes from an evo to a ralliart won't work. Check them out n also the evo has an inch wider wheel wells than the ralliart n base model lancers. Bumpers are different, ralliart has a smaller turbo and ONLY comes with the sst transmission. Evo battery in the trunk, ralliart is in engine bay

They're worth more money to the right person, but hopefully the dealership doesn't know what they have there...
from wiki
SE – (late 2010–11) Is a combination of all three 2010 models; some key features are the GSR front grill and interior, MR rear diffusers, 6-speed TC-SST transmission, Eibach springs and Bilstein struts, MR touring rear-lip spoiler, and heated seats. Only 340 were produced in the United States. A special key fob with the series number and a letter of acknowledgement from Shin Kurihara were given to the purchaser of this trim.

^^ yes, but the SE badge appears below the "evolution" not above it. Which is why the OP is concerned about the badge's location being above it on this particular car.
If the previous owner failed that miserably at restoring the badge to the car after debadging it that he couldn't be bothered to google image search the proper location I would avoid that car. Who knows what other stupid stuff he did.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that it was the SE. I don't think the dealership knows what it has because it's priced very well with low miles. 25K and 32K miles. Clean title. I'm going to check it out on Monday. The VIN checked out as a Lancer Evolution SE.

Good on you for doing some research but based on your questions and comments, you're going to be better off taking a buddy that knows a little bit about cars with you. Carfax will only tell you so much...the rest really takes some experience.

the car also could have had the rear end wrecked, and after the body work was done they messed up the badge placement.
not necessarily a deal breaker, but inspect for repairs and maybe do a CARFAX.
