Thumbs up Leasing a 2015 Evolution X

Really looking into leasing a 2015 evo x. Reason being is the low monthly payments and really isn't significant higher on insurance. Only $138 a month through USAA for me. I know some people may question why lease if you can finance. Well its monthly payments that got me interested since I really would like this car and finally get rid of my 03 GTI, especially now having a new born I'd like a four door sedan, something safer and bigger, plus for the AWD up here in new england. The wife already has a good family sedan so to me It looks like a fair deal. Plus I will buy it out after the lease so don't worry about me just tossing it away after the lease is done unless I completely hate it which I doubt myself doing. So my real question here is who in the forums is currently leasing their Evo? Doesn't specifically have to be a 2015, any X will do. I know some people are worried about modding a "leased" car but I've heard other wise. If you really plan on buying it out at the end then it really doesn't matter about mods, but I certainly don't plan to do much. Just probably lowering springs and save for wheels, then when lease is up do what I planned on doing.

Sounds like you have a solid plan I'd go for it. I've seen many that lease EVO's and seem pretty happy with the deal. Some buy out at the end of the lease, some don't for various reasons. I think you'll actually have a great deal once you get done with your lease because Mitsubishi will want you to keep the car imo.

Good luck in your search!

Hah, that's what I thought myself when I first got my X as well. That changed quickly

I waited until the 2015 models came out and leased my 2014 (recaro seats ) for around 420 a month. The Evo has been my dream car since I was a kid so I will be buying it then going with my much bigger plans, right now I'm loaded with mods though. I've done tune, intake, full exhaust, intercooler, IC piping, etc. No regrets.

That's the unfortunate thing, they only have the '15 here where I'm at :/ no 14. But there's always room for aftermarket seats haha. The one in looking at is wicked white fully loaded. I originally wanted a cosmic blue one but I'm not going to be upset with the white ;-). Yeah so if I see more people doing mods to their leased evo I may have to join haha. I was looking at a muffler delete to start then save for something nice.

I leased my 13 GSR before buying it out. I ended up making 410/500 on e85 while I was still on the lease since I knew that I would be buying it out in the end. I did the math and only lost about 1,800 in interest and fees vs buying outright, so not a bad deal in my opinion so I could have low payments for a couple of years. I say go for it.

I did the opposite. I leased the family vehicle (Honda crv) and financed the Evo. Reason being I heard with leases you're not allowed to do any real mods on it...and that's definitely happening.

The 15 seats are pretty good imo and the back seat has plenty of room as does the front, more than our 2012 camry.

It was fun at first, guys, now its just annoying. They are just seats. Same damn car. Buy some brides, sparcos, used recaros whatever if you want. Goodluck with the car bud.

I'm leasing my 14 gsr and I already started modding because I plan to keep it at the end of the lease. Plus I have a mod friendly dealership

I just bought a WW '15, and I came from a '14 WRX. The WRX fatboy seats were better seats, but like was said earlier they're just seats that can be replaced. Bride's look better than the Recaros in the Evos (non-leather) imho.

That's a great price which I would consider doing today. Now I'm still waiting for that action package we were suppose to get.
