Can evo X seat sliders be taken apart?

Can evo X seat sliders be taken apart?
I'm fitting evo X seats into my evo 8 and running into some space issues. Does anyone know if the slider can be removed so I can drill a bolt into the bottom section of the slider?

x seats are quite a bit larger than in the viii. the sliders from the x are held onto the seats with a couple of bolts, you will need a torx socket (or something similar) to remove.

I mean can you physically separate the sliding rails from each other not the sliders from the base of the seat.
